iPOPs Live Event Schedule

SunPoker in conjunction with iPoker has released the complete schedule to the iPOPs Live Event

The Arts Hotel, Barcelona, will be bubbling with package winners by May 31st. As players settle in, events will start right away with registration June 1st but right before players take their seats and become competitive they’ll have an opportunity to mingle with the competitors during a Cocktail part at Sal Café.

As in every tournament, players must abide by casino rules & regulation; The Ever Classic Gran Casino De Barcelona has a strict dress code that we kindly ask you to follow:

♠ No shorts.
♠ No 3/4 length trousers
♠ No trainers/tennis shoes/sports shoes
♠ No tracksuits/leisure suits
♠ No flip flops
♠ No Beachwear.

Players who arrive with inappropriate clothing, will be required to change, or purchase full length trousers and shirt from the casino.

Nominations for 2012 Women in Poker Hall of Fame

The Women in Poker Hall of Fame (WiPHoF) board announced open nominations for the 2012 inductions. The WiPHoF dinner and ceremony is taking place August 31st,2012 at 6PM at the Golden Nugget Casino Grand Ballroom in Las Vegas. It is the “kick off” event for the US Ladies Poker Championship weekend of events. Mistress of Ceremonies is Jan Fisher with a special guest speaker for your entertainment.

The WiPHoF Board has been diligent in making changes that will secure the on-going success of the Women in Poker Hall of Fame. This year, the eligibility for nomination and the voting process has been changed to better serve and broaden the scope of eligible candidates.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:

A. A candidate must have been active as a player or industry leader for a minimum of 10 years prior to election and 35 yrs of age or older.

B. Player/industry leader must have contributed to the world of poker in some significant way. This person can qualify by either winning major poker tournaments, or by making significant contributions to the industry of poker.

C. Player/industry leader must be a proponent of women in poker.

D. All nominees must be approved by a committee of the Board of Directors and the Inductees.

E. Nominees must agree to terms & conditions of the Women in Poker Hall of Fame.

This nomination process is open from now until the last second of Friday, May 18th, 2012.

Although the nomination process is public, the voting process has changed. Each current member of the Women in Poker Hall of Fame, the Board and selected members of the media will now cast 10 votes each. They may give all of their votes to one candidate, or cast them over several candidates in any number until they reach their allotted 10 votes. We look forward to the continued success of the Women in Poker Hall of Fame and the support of the poker industry.
