SunPoker’s marketing team has been working over time to bring to you, our loyal players, a variety of exciting new promotions and exclusive VIP packages to some of the top land based poker tournaments around the world!

Over the Limit Promotion
This is a new leaderboard promotion dedicated to Limit Hold’em cash games players, giving away over $100,000 in cash prizes and tournament tokens.
Promotion starts on October 31st and will run until December 11th 2011 running in three cycles of two weeks each, starting on Mondays at 00:00 GMT, and ending on Sundays at 23:59 GMT.
1. First Cycle: October 31st – November 13th.
2. Second Cycle: November 14th – November 27th.
3. Third Cycle: November 28th – December 11th.
This is a great way to play your favorite Limit Hold’em cash games and have a shot at additional $100,000 in cash!
iPOPS
SunPoker is participating in the $1 Million Dollar iPoker Online Poker Series (iPOPS). As the name suggest; A cool $1,000,000 in guaranteed prizes will be up for grabs through a series of tournaments and cash games.
Prepare yourself for poker stardom - the iPOPS Main Events will be held between November 28th and December 4th. Satellite registration has started and will continue to the very last second!
Irish Open 2012
We are heading back to Dublin, but this time for the Irish Open 2012, a slightly larger event happening over the spring of 2012 - April 6th – April 9th to be exact
Satellites will commence on October 30th, with the first super satellite on November 6th, 2011.
Main prize of every super satellite is a €4,600 package that includes the main event buy-in (€3,500), 5 nights’ accommodation at the Burlington Hotel and extra money for flights and spending.
Aussie Million Poker Championship
We’re gearing up to explore the world from “down under” during The Aussie Millions Poker Championship which will be held at the Crown Casino, Melbourne, Australia, from January 12th – January 30th , 2012.
Satellites will commence on October 22nd with the first super satellite on October 29th, 2011
Each winning $16,000 package includes the main event buy-in ($10,500), 10 nights’ accommodation at the Crown Promenade hotel, players’ party and extra money for flights and spending.

iPOPS $1 Million Guaranteed!
SunPoker has joined forces with iPoker to bring to you the $1 Million Dollar iPoker Online Poker Series (iPOPS).
$1,000,000 in guaranteed prizes will be up for grabs through a series of tournaments and cash games during the iPOPS Main Events held between the 28th of November and 4th of December.
In true SunPoker fashion we are offering super low buy-ins starting at $0.1 + $0.01 in a series of iPOPS satellites running from October 10th – December 4th 2011

Steve Billirakis Wins WSOPE Europe Event 3
The World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) saw event 3 come to a close on Wednesday night and crowned American pro Steve Billirakis with a World Series of Poker bracelet and $238,140 in prize money.
The event was a €5,300 buy-in and 180 players showed up, creating a prize pool of €882,000. Only 18 players would cash in the event but that didn’t stop the big names from making a deep run.
The final table had a wealth of big names, including November Niner Eoghan O’Dea.
Another popular player from the British Isles who made a deep run was Sam Trickett. Having already had a fabulous run of solid cashes this year, Trickett had another in this event, eventually busting in 4th for €77,642.
A number of other big names made deep runs and just missed the final table, including David Benyamine who came 18th for €11,628, Shawn Buchanan who finished 14th for €14,147 and Jason Mercier who came 12th €17,190.

What is a ‘Back’ Bet?
A ‘Back’ bet is a bet on something to happen – a horse to win a race, a football team to win, a person to be evicted from Big Brother etc. It’s just like the bet you’d regularly place with a traditional bookmaker or tote, or even with your mates.
Also known as a prop bet in the poker world, using back bet players can increase their winnings without ever having to leave the poker table.
