Poker Pro Europe Cover is SunPoker's Own

Poker Pro Europe May cover is SunPoker.com’s Poker Director Alex “PokerAlex” Jagodik. The Poker Pro editor heard about Sunpoker land based coaching at Casino Austria Poker tour events. They wanted to do an article on the concept and The Fearsome Foursome team. It is a very interesting piece on how we help online players succeed at land based events. The Fearsome Foursome fields its strongest team ever. The three online qualifiers have won more than $1,700,000 in live tournament wins. The team Alex Jagodik, Mihay Manole, Chris Back and Ivo Donev travels to InnsBruck to take on the Casino Austria Poker Tour Stop May 8-10. Qualifiers for the next stop in Velden are going on now on SunPoker.com.

While in Innsbruck the SunPoker Mobile University is coming to InnsBruck, Friday May 8th at 1900. Sunpoker Mobile University provides a free seminar on how to play poker. The poker seminar is taught by SunPoker coach Sven Luca. Even if you do not play poker, but want to learn how to make money in poker, then you must attend this free seminar. You will learn how you can make money from the poker business without ever having to play a hand or make an investment.

Constant Rijkenberg, from Amsterdam, Holland, has won €1,508,000 at EPT San Remo, the biggest major poker tournament ever held in Europe. The 20-year-old economics student bested a huge field of 1,178 players making it the largest event of EPT Season 5. Next stop for the EPT your is the Grand Final in Monte Carlo starting April 28th.

VIP Program

SunPoker has the best VIP program on the Ipoker Network. The SunPoker VIP program offers VIP tournaments twice a month. There is no limit to the cash back you can earn. You can cash in your SunPoints whenever you want (minimum $5).Every player is automatically enrolled once you play your first cash game.

How it works

When you make your First deposit you entitled to a 100% sign up bonus up to $500.This bonus is put into your bonus account. All you have to do is play and earn Sun Poker Points and the bonus will be automatically released into your account at a rate of $1.00 per 1000 Sun Points earned and you still get to keep your 1000 points, which is also worth $1. So you’re actually getting double cash back while you have a balance in your bonus account!

Once your 1st Deposit runs out you still earn SunPoker points which you can redeem for cash. The higher the VIP level the more cash back you receive. Our top level Sun Players can earn up to 45 % cash back with VIP points.

Since the system is based on 10 player tables and tournament fees. Players who play 2 and 6 handed tables earn less than maximum amount of cash back for their level. Every month players who don’t reach their levels  full % cash back will be given a monthly loyalty bonus. The monthly bonus amount is the difference between the cash back received and the maximum amount of cash back for that level. The monthly bonus will not be given if your percent cash back exceeds 30%. The Monthly Loyalty Bonus will be automatically released into your account at a rate of $1.00 per 1000 Sun Points earned.

For example:

You are a Mercury level player you earn 30% max cash back. You decided to play some 6 handed tables this month. Since 6 handed table earn less than 30% cash back so, you will be entitled to a Monthly Loyalty Bonus.

 Here is how it breaks down. You created $100 in rake for the month and only received $25 in SunPoker points. You are entitled to $30 cash back as a mercury player, so the difference $30-$25 is $5. Then next month you will receive a $5 Monthly Loyalty Bonus. The Monthly Loyalty Bonus is released the same way as the 1st deposit bonus.

Heads-Up Poker Championship

Its back, the battle of the best…The NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship has returned to television featuring 64 Poker Pros going head-to-head in a single-elimination bracket poker tournament.

Among those in the starting field are defending NHUPC champion Chris Ferguson, former NHUPC winners Phil Hellmuth and Paul Wasicka, former WSOP Main Event champions Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan, Also, added to the line up were world-class pros Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey who was players picks to win the whole tournament but their predictions were shattered by round 2 where Vanessa Rousso eliminated Ivey for them the tournaments and advanced herself to round 3!

With the first two rounds over already and down to the sweet 16 the US$500,000 is that much closer for the pros that remain.  Player are broken into 4 brackets, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades where they will play heads up eliminating each other one by one until the final 2 remain!
The next round of play is scheduled to resume this Sunday at 7pm PT on NBC to play through Round 3. Everyone finishing during this round is guaranteed $25,000 in cash for their participation.
