DETROIT NATIVE WINS SEAT AT UPCOMING WORLD SERIES OF POKER

WAuburn Hills, MI- SunPoker.com was looking for the best Texas Hold ‘Em poker player in Michigan to represent ‘Sun’ in the 2006 Main Event. Claude Mason, 35, from Taylor, Michigan has been crowned by SunPoker.com as their “King of the Palace” Champion. Mason’s Grand Prize is a $10,000 seat to play in the 2006 Main Event in Las Vegas, as well as round trip airfare and accommodations.

Mason won by taking part in the four month long “King of the Palace” tournament, a series of online and live poker tournaments to find the best poker player in Michigan, sponsored and organized by SunPoker.com.

Mason, a father of three, battled it out against thousands of other online poker players, and beat out nine other Main Event hopefuls live at the Palace of Auburn Hills to win his seat to the richest poker event in history. “Playing in the Main Event has always been a dream of mine” says Claude Mason “I’m playing very well right now and I plan on shocking the world by winning the event! I also look forward to sharing this trip with my family”

Not only will Mason’s family be there, so will poker professional Kenna James who has invited Claude to a private Sun Poker Party for a few lessons before the big event.
