Erlend B. (user name Grelle) wins the trip to the Caribbean Poker Classic.

The nine finalist met on board the student cruise to play for the CPC package, and some cash for second and thrid place. Before everyone started, they were all winners by receiving an official and stylish 1 GB SunPoker mp3 player.

The final table took about two hours, so the drinks were flowing, and the booze may have started talking, "all-in" a bit too much, but all in all, it was a good time had by all.

As for the poker action, let's fast forward right to the final hand that won it for "Grelle". Pre-flop all in with AJ, his loose and agressive syle prompted a call from a very solid player in Alf Gunnar, (nick "alfgunnar", go figure) with A6, but when the board did not improve his hand, it was over and Grelle was the victor.

Alfgunnar took home $750US and Dan S. (user: "d_steine") picked up $250US for his third place finish.

Overall the Student Cruise lasted for three days on the Queen of Scandinavia cruise ship, and the poker action was NON-STOP, as was the drinking. Snorre did the best job he could with the poker facilities given some unforseen issuse just prior to cruise taking off, and I think he made the players feel welcome and as comfortable as he could.

We are going to have to do it again soon...as soon as everyone is out of detox :)
